Return rate policy is the set of warning and restriction rules a platform applies to products and sellers whose returns run above the category average. A high return rate first triggers a product-level notification and, if it continues, suspension of the listing or a drop in the account health score.
Return reasons other than product defects count as well: wrong size, a color that does not match the description, late delivery. Reducing returns is therefore mostly a content job rather than a logistics one. Giving a clear size chart, shooting in real light and stating pack contents explicitly produce the fastest effect. Exporting from Turkey adds another layer: when the return address is abroad, the cost of a return can exceed the value of the item, so on some products refunding without taking the goods back is cheaper.
