What is Customs Declaration?

A customs declaration is the document that officially reports the type, value, quantity and origin of exported or imported goods. Filing it correctly is required to benefit from export incentives and to claim a VAT refund.

Detail

For low-value e-commerce shipments under the micro-export regime, the Electronic Trade Customs Declaration (ETGB) is used; this method needs no customs broker and speeds the process up. A wrong GTIP (customs tariff) code creates both tax and penalty risk.

Example

A VAT refund can be claimed on micro exports made with an ETGB; that improves margin directly.
